Chase is a 4-year-old, medium-sized lab mix with the perfect balance of energy and calm. He enjoys going on walks with his people, soaking up new sights and smells, but he’s not a puller. He has just the right amount of energy—enough to enjoy long or short walks, adventurous hikes, or a leisurely stroll around the block. He doesn’t need five-mile runs or intense hikes, making him a great companion for a variety of activities.
Chase has lived with a smaller dog and cats before, and with the right introductions, he could be a good match for new animal friends. He is crate-trained and feels secure in his crate; in fact, he sometimes prefers to stay in there, even when you're home. However, with time and the right environment, I believe he will gain more confidence and be comfortable coming out on his own.
Chase is a sweet boy who deserves a home where he can thrive. I think he would do best in a calm, structured environment with a single person or a couple, or even a family with older children who can respect his personal space. While he has been good with young kids in the past, he tends to retreat into his crate too often to escape the chaos. A more peaceful setting would help him feel more secure.
